I can’t reply to the original review. However, with your logic of quoting me pads only ,at 1300, my initial complaint notes that the Toyota dealership is charging 800. So regardless of our disagreement, why are you so over priced for a brake job? You can make this right by reimbursing me a portion, due to you being extremely over priced and my brakes still squeaking from rotors, you talked me into replacing. It was unfortunate that the test drive didn’t produce the sound but you can understand how difficult it is to get your vehicle to make the sound when you at the mechanics.

My usual trusted mechanic does not do wheel alignments. His receptionist suggested a nearby tire store, but warned me they would try to "Upsell". Not wanting to deal with a pushy tire store I took my car to Grand Garage. They fixed the alignment problem, and told me that it wasn't 100% perfect, but so close that replacement parts were not necessary. The "Toe" was perfectly aligned and something with the word "Speed"? was aligned. We took the car to them in the morning and got it in the afternoon of the same day. We also received a Triple A discount.

Grand garage has gone down hill extremely fast. When I first started using them, they seemed to genuinely care and had extremely reasonable prices. Which is why I recently went to them, However $1700 for brakes and rotors is beyond unreasonable however I still did it, to which I regret, and i am still having squeaking. They claim it’s because I didn’t change the rear rotors, but the squeaking is coming from the front. 🤔 Either way, they've turned into more pushy salesman than anything else. Pressuring me (and others I’m sure) into replacing parts that are not needing replacement, in this case, my rotors instead of offering to resurface them. I talked to the dealership and they would have charged 800 dollars to do the entire brake job, front and back with resurfaced rotors. I will never use grand garage again and I hope this review saves someone the headache with dealing with them. Unless the owners make this right, I will be reaching out to the BBB to let them know about their practices. There are several reviews on yelp complaining about the same issue.

Just moved here and got a flyer in the mail. Sounded like the kind of place I would like to take my truck too. Yes it was only an oil change and asked them to check a few things but it was a nice experience and think I'll be going back for future work. Really liked how they sent you a text with a link to the report on your cars status. I'll review more when I have more work done. Cheers, Pete

I dont know jack about cars. But, you dont need to if you know Dave, the owner, Rob the master front desk man, and Mike the master mechanic and the crew at Grand Avenue Garage. I do know what I want in a car repair place: both competency and honesty. Grand Ave. garage has a very high degree of both of them. If I dont need something done now, theyll let me know that. If a repair cant wait it gets done right the first time and at a reasonable price. What more could you ask for? Well, there is more. They provide a shuttle service if you have to leave your car, (Janet even put me down for one without my having to ask for it last time). Janet sends a thank you note and a coupon after your service and sometimes Ive even gotten a flower to bring home to the wife. All this is why I tried them out 10 years ago and have stuck with them ever since.
